Messer is seeking an Ohio District Manager to manage the rental operations in the Ohio region.

Overview

This position supports Messer's Rental Division operations in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton region market place. This individual will focus on managing all aspects of the rental operations in the Ohio region, and support the expansion of rental division services in those regions. This individual must possess basic sales skills with a high level of organization and time management skills, as well as be able to manage multiple regional locations with creative solutions. A customer service mindset, communication skills, availability to travel frequently and the ability to perform at a high level without direct supervision are essential. This individual must be a self-starter, self-motivated person, and be able to interact with people at different levels in the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Create facility strategies in the regions and maintain adequate staffing and inventory to assure the delivery of all rental division products and services     
    • Provide and promote value driven solutions to our projects that will differentiate the rental division as a consultancy service for internal and external customers
    • Own the profit/loss results for your area of responsibility and educate staff by driving metrics and measurement as a tool to achieve financial success
    • Implement the strategic direction of the rental division in the Ohio district to drive consistent delivery of all services
    • Create and implement strategies to drive growth
    • Establish and maintain the strategic partnerships of the rental division in an effort to provide \u0022one stop shopping\u0022 to our customers
    • Implement and manage the MES program as well as all rental division programs established from time to time
    • Utilize the operations executive and business manager to provide financial and operational support that drives growth
    • Support and promote Lean performances and efficiencies of operations at all times
    • Drive safety policies and procedures of the company in everything you do
    • And all other duties determined by the management of the rental division

    Requirements

    • 5-10 years of Equipment Rental Industry Experience
    • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple location businesses
    • College Degree Preferred

    Abilities:

    • Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities
    • Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25lbs., seeing and reading

    Reports to Rental Division Vice President
